Saturday Ladies

It was a pleasant surprise to have such a lovely mild day for golf on Saturday.

The days competition was stableford plus the number of one putts. Lesley Elliott had 41 stableford and 7 one putts so had a total of 48. She gets the days voucher. The putting was good as I think at least 4 of us had 7 one putts.

Putting points were: Jo Broadmore 3pts-27 putts, Fiona Rook 2pts-29 putts and Lesley Elliott 1 pt for 30 putts. There were 2 twos, Nicole Mancer on the 5th and Lesley Elliott on the 11th. Both get a $5.00 voucher.

Dot Colville won the 9 Hole competition with 17 stableford points. She also gets a $5.00 voucher.

Next Saturday is the 1st Round of the Fraser Trophy eclectic for 18 Hole players. The 9 Hole competition is Starters Choice.

Tuesday Ladies

The day turned out much better than expected and it was very pleasant playing. The course was pretty good too considering all the rain we've had.

Congratulations to Joy East who won the Barclay Cup and also won the $5 sweepstake.

Robyn was the lucky winner of the drawn 2s, so $5 to you.

Putting results were: Fay 3 pts for 28, Mary 2 for 30 and Jo and Helen J 1 pt for 31.

There was no raffle today and next week’s starter is Robyn.

PRO – TIP

PRACTICE is the way to save shots. 20 balls & your putter 2/3 times per week, just 15 minutes each session, will save you a shot at the week-end competition. Next week practice the chipping & again you will benefit at the weekend. Only one lousy rotten stinking shot separates 1ST & 2ND. So, the simple way to improve & lower your scores is to PRACTICE!!

Good Luck & Happy Golfing.

Funnies

Two golfers are waiting their turn on the tee when a naked woman runs across the fairway and into the woods.

Two men in white coats and another guy carrying two buckets of sand are chasing her, and a little old man is bringing up the rear. One of the golfers grabs the old man and asks, "What's going on?" The old guy says, "She's a nymphomaniac from the asylum, she keeps trying to escape, and we attendants are trying to catch her." The golfer asks, "What about the guy with the buckets of sand?" The old man says, "That's his handicap. He caught her last time."
