Club Captains Report Last Saturday the wind was up a little and tested a few players’ judgement. We played for the LF Trueman Trophy, format stableford. The player that had their game going was Barry Newlove with 44 points, well done Barry and congratulations. Division 1 You will never guess Gary Crawford 42 points, Robbie Busing had an improving 41, Kevin Mancer and Gary Johnson both with 38. Division 2 Barry Newlove 44, Phil Wilson 39 and William Wadsworth 38. Two's to Garry Johnson, Big Al and Brendon Dew and also raffles were well supported (thanks again), this includes the $4.00 drinks raffle which should be called the Crawford Cup. August 2019 Firstly, I would like to start with a very big thank you to Paul Rauputu and Kerry Edgecombe for their time and commitment organising throughout the year and coordinating a great trip, everyone appreciated their hard work. Cheers Lofty On August 19th, 15 Manukorihi members departed Auckland for Coolangatta Airport to embark on a week long golf tour on the Gold Coast. Day 1: After landing safely and boarding our two mini vans we were whisked away to Tweed Heads Golf Club, a short drive from the airport. Club Captains Report Last Saturday was a day where the weather was not quite perfect but playable for the Top Club Qualifying and there was a mixed bag of scores posted. Winners of the vouchers for the day: Div1 Ivor 40 points, Robert 39, Gary Johnson, Nathan Loppy and Steve Voyle all 37. Div 2 President David 43, Ricey 42 (Getting warmed up for Aussie) Martin and Carl B both with 39. Must warn members partnered with Gary Crawford, you need big shoulders!! Ask Robin Broadmore, as he needed a massage when the round had finished. Great stuff Gary, it was very entertaining. Club Captains Report Hello to all. Hope we are enjoying our golf .... Firstly, well done Mike Burkhart for taking out the Lye Trophy ON A VERY GOOD +14 OVER THE TWO ROUNDS. Well done to Jo Broadmore for coming out on top for the ladies .....and not to be out-done rumour has it that 'Sunstrike' AKA (Robin Broadmore) not only took out the front bumper but also the Wednesday club so well done 'Sunstrike'. Coming up is the Top Club Qualifying comp followed by the LF Truman Stableford and Sunday 25th is the KIWI Butcher comp so good luck to all for that. SPECIAL THANKS TO ALL MEMBERS: Thankyou!...
