Club Captains Report Hello to all, hope we are all enjoying our golf and may the weather continue. Let's get started ….Saturday saw the Matchplay rounds get underway so congratulations to all winners on the day. The greens are in pretty good nick and let’s keep them this way everybody. It was noticed there were a lot of pitch marks so please repair the ball marks and keep them smooth thanks. Matchplay ……. please make sure we play the best net per hole rule so the lower handicapper only give shots above their shot holes…...eg…...so a 10 handicapper playing a 15 handicapper will only give shots on stroke holes 11,12,13,14,15 not from stroke 1,2,3,4,5. Club Captains Report Last windy (I mean very windy) Saturday was Club Champs finals day and even before the matches got started Paul Fairhurst trundler was heading back to the green keepers shed down the eighteenth fairway all on its own. (wind assisted). Paul practicing putting on the green and turning around finding his trundler had disappeared. Once teed off the first at 8am, both players Paul and Ivor knew they were in for more than just a battle with themselves, it was who could stand the steadiest over the ball at every shot. At the first green Ivor’s bag and trundler tried to tell him it had already had enough by tipping over and spewing all it contents out and blowing everything away

Club Captains Report The day last Saturday was not everyone’s cup of tea but there were sixteen keen golfers that turned up willing to give the annual Greenkeeper’s revenge a go. Comp for the day was all tee off the yellow on Par 5’s, White Par 4’s and Blue Par 3’s. Ladies were given six extra shots and the men had five taken off them. They could lose or gain these by ladies losing one for every 3 putt and the men got one back for every no putt (chip in) The best for the day, with 71 net by lot, was Strotty from NP, from J Chandler. The least putts went to Richie with 31. Only one chip in and only one two and that was on the last hole at the same time by Robert. The two ladies that played, N

Club Captains Report The day started out on the chilly side and that showed with some of the results of the first round of the Joll Cup. The new member Adam Burns leads the way with a plus 8 (Editor’s note: thanks to the mentoring of his father), four shots clear of his next rivals Toko, Steve Voyle, Ryan Wills and Rod Andrews. There are quite a few players that are going to need to pull a few tricks out of their bags to catch this group in round two which is to be played on the 15th June. If anyone is unable to play in the Matchplay of Joll Cup please let Jody (knee high) Bound or Robert (Chop Chop) Butler know so we can let others into comp. There were four two's Steve V, Toko, Wayne B and
