Mixed Top Dog

Finals day on Sunday was a great success: winners of the 2018 Mixed Top Dog are Kevin and Nicole Mancer. A win of 2up against Gary and Trish Crawford. A great battle was put up. This year’s competition was given a lot of positive comments and looking ahead for next year with a few more players and some minor changes to step up to another level. The shared lunches were wonderful especially finishing with whitebait fritters.

Congratulations again Kevin and Nicole. Roll on 2019 to defend your title.

PRO – TIP

Routines - Watching the top players from around the world you notice that they have a definite “Pre – Shot Routine” a system of choosing the correct club every time they go to the ball before hitting it.

Before getting to the ball

1. Direction of the wind ?

2. Where the trouble is ?

3. How am I playing / feeling ?

When I arrive at the ball

4. Where is the flag in relation to trouble? (sand or water !!)

5. What is the lie like ?

6. How far is it ?

Good Luck & Good Golfing

Professional John Garner.
